I have spent years reciting those words in my head. A memorable mantra I would keep close to my heart as I mustered up the courage to write. The reality is, this thing that feels so intimately connected to my being sometimes feels so hard to welcome into my day. Writing is one of the things I love most, one of the things that has freed my mind and soul from so much inner turmoil. So, when I pick up my pen and lay my feelings down on paper, I am reminded of the freedom that awaits me with each stroke.

I stopped writing for a little while.

After publishing my first book, I was all out of words.

Well, I wasn't literally all out of words; the truth is, I didn't know if I had any more valuable words to share.

When you pour your heart and soul into a project, you are sometimes left feeling like it took the best of you, and you may wonder if you have anything left to give.

I have had to slowly talk myself out of believing the lie that the best is behind me when I am only just getting started.

I have more words to give.

So, I'm using this space to share my words to encourage you and me to keep on going, embrace our creativity at all stages of our lives, and fall deeper in love with the process of releasing our art.

Maybe I needed the time away to reestablish my love for writing and believe the truth that as long as I am living and breathing, my pen will always be filled with ink.

I have more words to give.

So, I will keep on writing.

Ps: What is one thing you are doing again? I’d love for you to share it in the comments.
